The Environmental working group is an American activist group that specializes in the research of agricultural subsidies, toxic chemicals, drinking water pollutants and much more.

EWG’s researchers have changed the debate over environmental health. EWG’s team of scientists, policy experts, lawyers, communication experts and programmers has worked tirelessly to make sure someone is standing up for public health when government and industry won’t. Through their different reports and online databases, mobile apps and communications campaigns, EWG is educating and empowering consumers to make safer and more informed decisions about the products they buy and the companies they support. In response to consumer pressure, companies are giving up potentially dangerous chemical ingredients in their products and improving their practices.

EWG helps teenagers find the right product for their own skin type, for example, facial cleansers. EWG will help you find the right product suitable for your own skin type. On the website itself, it has listed all of the ingredients in the product to see what chemicals you are putting on your face. It shows the hazardous levels of each and every product. This website is absolutely great for people who have sensitive skin and different skin problems.

  1. I agree with you Sam, the EWG is a program we should all check out before purchasing a skin care product. Not only are their products good for us, majority of the items listed on the website are eco-friendly. When I looked at the website myself, I was able to find many great products that are recyclable and compostable. The EWG deserves to get noticed by the entire world, it could really help our environment out if people ordered from here. People don't take the time to think about the product they are purchasing. Is it harming the environment? How much transportation is required to deliver this product? Can it be recycled? Simple questions like these go through people's mind because of this website. A eco-friendly mindset can lead our generation into a better direction.
